Blog post 5: Changes to my study progamme
Changes to my study progamme
When I started the college, I was
excited about the fact that I was in a new program study, because this have the
best part of what I liked about the academic area, from the development of
general ecosystem knowledge to the study of human systems themselves, it was
something that fascinated me.
However, as I progressed in the
career, I realized that many of the theoretical classes we had, was not
according to the promised in the binding program of “Ingeniería en Recursos
Naturales Renovables”, as it was disappointing to have to be seeing matters of
agronomics topics, it is a fact, everything we saw did not lose the focus
related to agronomy. There were moments that made me very disappointed, because
if I had wanted to know about agronomy engineering, I would have applied to
this career, therefore, i was very frustrating moments in the search of the
vocational profession, until after two years of study, I finally knew what it
means to be a "Recursero", finally there was the possibility of
enriching the profession based on the voices of graduates of the career in the
same university.
Therefore, my main change to the
study program would be to have academics that focus specifically on the area of
study of natural resources, diversifying the knowledge, and disassociate it
from agronomy, in addition, to improve the respective schedules that are
immovable for each semester, since for most of the cases, there have always
been classes that go from 9:00 am to 17:00 pm, independently of the number of
classes, so if that could be changed, and be more efficient, and friendly for
students, the career would really be a unique experience in terms of academic,
and emotional.
I also found it odd that agro-recurso had so many classes together in the first years.
ResponderEliminarI also had that problem understanding what is the work of a "recursero"
ResponderEliminarThere are so many hours of classes that it is exhausting
ResponderEliminarI understand you, I was disappointed too. There are a lot of agronomist professors, but not "recurseros".
